Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support in the areas of employee coaching, performance counseling, HR practices, and policy interpretation. They will act as a liaison between employer and employee, overseeing employee relations and receiving and effectively handling employee complaints. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for monitoring grievance procedures, ensuring completion of appropriate documentation, and responding to employee policy or misconduct violations.
Responsibilities
- Provide support in employee coaching, performance counseling, HR practices, and policy interpretation
- Act as a liaison between employer and employee, overseeing employee relations
- Receive and effectively handle employee complaints
- Monitor grievance procedures and ensure completion of appropriate documentation
- Respond to employee policy or misconduct violations
- Assist managers with guidance on process, coaching skills, and documentation
- Update HR-related country policies based on statutory or law changes and internal policy decisions
- Communicate changes to managers and employees as required
- Counsel managers on HR policies and practices
- Support line managers in authoring job descriptions
- Coach individual managers in key Global HR processes
- Support managers in onboarding new employees and introducing them to the employee handbook
- Work with Talent Acquisition to ensure hiring requirements are met and positions are filled on a timely basis
- Review monthly payroll cycles and ensure accuracy before processing
- Support Company re-organization requirements by establishing the consultation/communication framework and ensuring managers have a step-by-step process for progressing through the changes
- Works with managers to ensure completion of steps and manage the timetable for employee consultation, contractual changes, communications, etc.
- Support HR and compliance audits
- Maintain country-level HR employment records as needed
- Participate and provide content for meetings with employee representative bodies
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in employee relations or generalist capacity
- Experience interpreting legislation and worker's council agreements and applying them to employee relations preferred
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and legal coursework preferred
- Global or local HR certifications preferred
What We Offer
