Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Support Engineer Associate to join our team at ScotiaTech, a business unit within ScotiaGBS, a Scotiabank Group company located in Bogota, Colombia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the security and integrity of our information systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Provide dedicated security administration to maintain the security and integrity of our information systems, including handling access requests, provisioning users, and ensuring compliance with internal security policies and procedures.
  • Review, process, and log incoming access requests to ensure they comply with security policies and procedures.
  • Provision, modify, and deprovision user accounts across various information systems.
  • Conduct regular reviews and reports of user access and permissions to ensure they align with their roles and responsibilities.
  • Respond to and resolve security issues and access discrepancies promptly, documenting security issues and solutions.
  • Participate in the implementation of security for new information systems and new security tools and technologies.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all security processes and user access modifications.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.
  • Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment.
Requirements
  • Solid English communication skills, both oral and written (B2 minimum), and comfortable in a primarily English working environment.
  • 2+ years of experience in application support.
  • 2+ years of experience in SQL, Oracle Database, MS SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, HTML, JavaScript, CSS.
  • University degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
