Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop software applications using React, Node.js, and Python.
- Work closely with the development team to build and deploy software solutions.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and SMEs to interpret requirements and translate them into software solutions.
- Develop intuitive user interfaces that make it easy for users to navigate applications.
- Support the team in designing and developing proof of concepts to demonstrate value.
- Understand and adhere to Scotiabank's risk appetite and risk culture.
- Actively pursue effective and efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience working with React, Node.js, and Python.
- 2+ years of experience working with fluency on Linux environment with command line and shell scripting.
- 2+ years of experience working with SQL.
- Working knowledge of MongoDB.
- Broad and deep technical knowledge, ranging from front-end UIs through to back-end systems.
- Working knowledge of version control software such as Git.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-directed - works effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- Strong technical knowledge & experience in development.
