What can you expect in a "Travel Manager" role with TaskUs:
The Travel Manager must have the ability to work remotely and communicate from anywhere. You will support business travelers within a region. TaskUs separates these by: SEA, the Americas, India or Europe.
In this role, you will use company tools, resources and network to build customized travel journeys. This position will require you to communicate openly, effectively and adapt to an ever changing environment. You will help coordinate day-to-day travel activities while promoting the company's culture and core values.
A high-level of professionalism and discretion is required as you will be working with internal and external parties including the executives, clients, vendors, and support teams and confidential documents.. You will respond to queries with knowledge gained through your own experience, research, and any information provided by others.
Required Qualifications:
- Oversee corporate travel within a region
- Assist our Director of Procurement Travel and Department Executives with employee adherence to travel policy
- Ability to analyze, recommend, and implement changes as it relates to corporate travel, balancing business needs, and company controls
- Manage incoming travel plan requests to include working with and alongside our travel management companies, travel agents, travel visa service vendors, booking tools
- Partner with TaskUs Procurement Team and TMCs in the negotiation of preferred corporate rates for air, hotels and transportation
- Have a deep knowledge of travel and research tactics that are needed to search for best rates, times and methods of transportation throughout various geos
- Research various destinations and means of travel regarding pricing, immigration/customs requirements, country rules & restrictions, hotel and airline reviews etc.
- Willingly offer travel advice and assistance to travelers
- Maintain current knowledge of the state of the various travel industries supported
- Provide the traveler with the required industry information
- Assist employees with fulfilling requests regarding necessary regulations (DOT, TSA, passports, visas, etc.)
- Prioritize and manage multiple assignments simultaneously
- Able to work independently, exercising discretion and judgment
- Manage relationships with travel agency, vendors and sales reps
- Make employees aware of travel policies, booking tools, or other technologies implemented with the global travel program
- Constantly demonstrate ridiculously good service
- Understand industry trends for developing future programs and cost savings strategies
- Maintain trustworthy relationships with travel agencies and vendors
- Ensure compliance with relevant travel policies and procedures
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation of travel programs
- Work with A/P and procurement dept to analyze spend reports and make recommendations for cost efficiencies or avoidance of unnecessary fees.
Education / Certifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as business administration or a related discipline.
Work Location / Work Schedule / Travel:
- Remote
- Occasional travel may be required for meetings, conferences, or client engagements, as per business needs.
