**About Position;**

IGK is looking for a Business Development Manager to oversee the implementation of marketing and recruitment strategies for international students for our educational programs in Colombia. The incumbent will collaborate closely with the IGK team in order to fulfill duties pertaining to recruiting international students (both B2B and B2C), promoting college programs, and developing and maintaining relationships with educational agents,

**Requirements**:

- Post-secondary education (Diploma/ Degree) in Marketing/ Communications/ International Business
- Minimum 2 years of direct work experience in international student recruitment for higher education institutions abroad
- Knowledge of Canadian post-secondary education system is an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. With high proficiency in English and. Spanish. Portuguese is an asset.
- Excellent networking and presentation skills.
- Working knowledge of digital and social media marketing locally and internationally, familiarity with existing platforms and trends.
- Ability to travel extensively within Colombia and annually/ biannually in other targeted countries in South America.
- Ability to work from home, with excellent time management and minimum supervision.
- Ability to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends, when required.
- Must hold a valid passport; must be able to travel internationally.
- Pro-active approach and ability to deliver results, high level of maturity and integrity.
- Knowledge and experience with digital recruitment tactics.
- Experience with a CRM would be an asset.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Acting a primary recruiter for college programs in the region of South America with a focus on Colombia, but occasionally support work in Central America.
- Conducting market research for college programs in the region of South America with the focus on Brazil, but may occasionally support work in Central America.
- Conducting market research and staying abreast of developing trends in international and domestic education.
- Maintain knowledge of the College’s mission, program offerings, student support, services and facilities; advising prospective students on program opportunities. Program admission and English Language proficiency recruitments. Tuition fees, housing options.
- Attending student recruitment fairs across the country and abroad throughout the year, as required.
- Deliver student and agent seminars.
- Develop relationships with high school guidance counsellors and conduct recruitment activities at high schools
- Maintaining relationships with Global Affairs Canada Trade Commissioners, service providers and relevant chamber of commerce representatives.
- Maintaining relationships with local agents; conducting regular training, advising them regarding the skills and knowledge necessary to market the college programs and services.
- Achieve student recruitment targets and motivate agents to reach recruitment targets.
- Participate in the College international social media strategy for the purpose of recruitment, marketing and student interactions.
- Liaising with relevant social media content creators to develop a content calendar supporting recruitment activities and efforts.
- Drafts reports on recruitment activities and identifying opportunities in region.
- Arranging for local printout and distribution of the college promotional materials in Portuguese/ Spanish.

**Conditions**:

- 1 year contract, renewable annually
- Base sale negotiable
- Home based in Bogota or Medellin ,Colombia or elsewhere in Colombia
- Training provided
- Monthly allowances on local transportation, telecommunications
