The Onboarding and Team Care Director, with the oversight of the OCV leadership team, will be responsible for leading, overseeing, and continually building out and improving this function within the People Management division of One Click Ventures. This includes getting all new team members to a place where they are fully ready to hit the ground running within their role, as well as creating an environment where coming to work every day is a joy instead of drudgery.

**Outcomes**

**Ensure each new employee is welcomed and fully supported throughout the entire onboarding process**
- This includes leading the integration into OCV as a whole, as well as coordinating with department heads to ensure role-specific training/learning is thorough enough to get the team member feeling ready to “hit the ground running”
- Regular and frequent touch-points (video and/Slack) throughout the new hire’s onboarding
- Getting people into their flow as quickly as possible by coordinating with their new team to create opportunities for small early wins

**Cultivate an environment where all team members feel uniquely cared for**
- This can be done many ways, but should include the evaluation of areas such as the offering of top tier compensation, providing each team member with a sense of growth/progression, ensuring the whole team is on mission to do valuable work together, and the building out of a culture of complete trust with a shared vision
- Look at the “Team Care” area with both passive and active lensesPassive: protecting against what can hurt a bond (poor communication, conflict, etc)

Active: nurturing what can strengthen a bond (understanding love languages, for example)

**A perfected “playbook” has been developed and implemented for each of the above areas**
- The playbooks document all that goes into the planning and executing (research tools, systems, SOPs, etc) for that area of the business
- Playbooks are regularly iterated on as new learnings are developed and business needs change

**An Onboarding and Team Care support team has been brought on to help with the administrative side of this work**
- Coordinating with the recruiting and hiring team, the OTC Director has surrounded themself with a team of HR-experienced VAs to assist with the functions of the team
- Team and project management is built out and maintained in Notion
- Team maintains alignment with OCV by following the OKR model for goal setting and tracking
- Model your behavior, communication style, aesthetics, and professional relationships after what is important to our team (see this all mapped out here)

**Document domain knowledge**
- All institutional knowledge is documented inside Notion, following wiki guidelines, so that none of the information crucial to other team members and virtual assistants is housed solely inside a team member’s mind

**Competencies**

**Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in an HR management, human relations, or comparable program**

HR management, psychology, social sciences, or comparable program

**5+ years of relevant work experience**

Work history must prove the mastery of creative solution-building in reference to hiring, training, and engagement—as well as experience leading teams of people

**Administration/organization**

Ability to see a list of outcomes and proactively build a corresponding roadmap leading to the goals, prioritize tasks, and harness large amounts of data from many sources and keep it clearly organized and accessible. No details slip through the cracks.

**Relationship builder**

Making people your priority is at the heart of who you are. Ability to read people’s emotions and enjoy getting to know them while rooting for and supporting their success. Expert at building relationships based on trust through sincerity, approachability, and follow-through. Demonstrates an ability to proactively nurture relationships in the internal and external networks.
