Nature of Work

The Region Manager Resort Sales and Service - Andean Region will be responsible for managing Interval’s resorts sales and service business units in Andean Region (102400, 102500) with the objective of increasing market share, maximizing profit while ensuring that corporate objectives relative to overall performance are accomplished on an ongoing basis.

**Responsibilities**:
Responsible for retaining existing clients, and for achieving new business goals as established on an annual basis. Such responsibilities would include but are not limited to, new resort affiliations, the sale of Interval products and services, including but not limited to Interval Gold, Interval Platinum, Club Interval Gold, Leisure Time Passport and Dream Vacation Week.

Sources and secures inventory reserves in conjunction with resort affiliations in line with assigned annual goals.

Works with dedicated personnel within Interval’s Inventory Yield Management department and sources inventory at preferential rates terms in support of Interval’s needs.

Conducts detailed economic analysis of potential new business opportunities and provides said analysis to management for review and approval prior to releasing proposals to potential clients. Develops comprehensive sales, marketing and support proposals for new affiliates.

Responsibilities relative to new resort affiliations include ensuring that resorts are inspected and that developer plans are reviewed for all new member resorts prior to presentation to the company’s Affiliation Committee.

Works with region AVP to ensure that territory meets revenue and expense targets.

Oversees servicing of existing affiliations, conducts analysis of new business opportunities; and secures market intelligence, including competitive changes and issues.

Coordinates ongoing direct mail telephone marketing campaigns.

Assists in public relations campaigns and initiatives.

Participates in and coordinates corporate related activities, e.g. client & company meetings. Represents the company in internal and external communications. Serves as the company representative in trade associations, at conferences and at industry events.

Responsible for doing what it takes to get the job done through a strong results-orientation, perseverance and hard work.

Performs other related duties as required. Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

Graduation from an accredited collage or university with a major in Business Administration, Hospitality or Marketing and a minimum of 5 years sales experience or an equivalent combination of education or experience.

Extensive experience and a verifiable record in business-to-business sales, knowledge of the hospitality industry and or vacation ownership industry a plus. A strong business manager, who has previous experience in working independently.

Must possess excellent business instincts; strong interpersonal, persuasive and influencing skills; and the ability to handle a considerable workload and multiple priorities simultaneously.

Must possess excellent management skills, financial acumen, and strong negotiating skills.

Must possess strong leadership ability, with solid strategic thinking skills, and organizational savvy.

Must be able to build strong relationships; both internally with co-workers and other departments and externally with clients, vendors and industry partners.

Must possess drive initiative, high energy and enthusiasm, and be confident and self motivated.

Must be able to build trust and confidence; understand relationship selling; have high integrity, and truly enjoy being in a team environment in which enthusiasm for the company’s products and services is critical.

Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.

Must possess excellent computer skills ie., Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Must possess excellent presentation skills.

Must be able to develop complex business proposals.

Must possess excellent business writing skills.

Must possess a professional demeanor.

Must be fully bilingual.

Must be able to travel a minimum of 30% of the time. Position can require travel in excess of 50% of the time.

Must possess a good credit rating and an excellent driving record.
Physical Requirements

Sitting, standing, walking, manual dexterity (writing, typing, handling), operation of automated equipment (computer).
