Contributes to multiple Regional Corporate Affairs and communications projects to help AstraZeneca communicate important corporate messages to internal and external stakeholders

  • Contributes to engagements with key internal or external groups, such as sales teams, external charities, government lobbyists and regulators
  • Carries out research, either individually or as part of a team, into more complex areas of government legislation, regulation, managed markets or public policy
  • Liaises with brand managers and other internal colleagues to explain how internal or external developments can affect their brands or areas of responsibility
  • Helps brand leaders develop communications programs and strategies tied to their respective brand strategies
  • Builds and participates in internal and external networks to share information in the legislative, regulatory or public policy arena and disseminate best practices internally
  • May manage data information systems to keep track of external relations with various social groups or charities
  • May engage with lobbyists or government or regulatory officials
  • May oversee the regulatory submissions for particular product categories or brands
  • May have budget management responsibilities
  • May be responsible for communicating with and organizing external vendors and service providers
  • Acts as a resource in one or more areas of Corporate Governance, helping managers and other colleagues resolve more complex Corporate Affairs and communication related issues
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in communications or a related field
  • Some experience in communications or Corporate affairs at a regional level
  • Understanding of new media, especially social networks
  • Expertise in one or more area(s) of internal or external corporate communications
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry
