Senior Benefits Specialist

Remote - Colombia

As a Senior Benefits Specialist in our Human Resources team, you play a vital role in managing Anthology's global and international employee benefit programs. These programs encompass health and wellness, income protection, retirement, leave of absence, and related areas. You collaborate closely with the Director, Benefits to ensure compliance with legal requirements at both national and local levels. Additionally, you act as the benefits liaison for the HR team in supported regions, addressing inquiries, advocating for employees, and guiding them on the range of coverages available at Anthology. Your responsibilities include contributing to the enhancement and control of benefit plans, as well as conducting crucial data analysis.

Key duties include:

  • Administering global and international benefits such as health, life insurance, income protection, pension, paid time off, and statutory programs
  • Managing relationships with benefit brokers and carriers
  • Acting as the primary contact for global employees regarding benefit programs
  • Collaborating with HR teams to support employee benefit needs
  • Engaging in annual renewals, enrollments and wellness initiatives
  • Participating in benefit plan design discussions and renewal processes
  • Reviewing and handling invoices for accuracy
  • Ensuring data accuracy with carriers and vendors
  • Assisting with new hire benefit information
  • Supporting benefit transitions during mergers and acquisitions
  • Maintaining awareness of laws, regulations, and trends in benefit plan design
  • Ensuring accurate and timely benefits program administration
  • Providing assistance with compensation benchmarking and job analyses
  • Preparing and maintaining reports on benefit plans
  • Creating invoices for benefit carriers

The Ideal Candidate:

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English at CEFR B2 level or above
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education with analytical coursework
  • Strong technical knowledge of benefits and compensation
  • 5-8 years of experience in benefits administration
  • Understanding of international benefit programs and leave compliance
  • Effective analytical, planning, and communication skills
  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment
  • Solid business acumen or willingness to learn
  • Demonstrated maturity in handling challenging situations
  • Capability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • High-level customer service abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Cloud Based HRIS, preferably UKG
  • Previous exposure to compensation roles
  • Experience supporting benefit and leave programs across various global regions
