BU Latin America
Since 1965, Yara has established a unique position in Latin America as the industry’s only global crop nutrition company. Shared Service Center
Since 2016, BULA's shared services center has been providing transactional services for the different work units in Latin America, thus allowing greater agility and centralization of tasks, making some of the strategic areas less operational.
With a financial emphasis, the shared services center tries every day to provide support to the various areas of the company through services, such as: Record To Report (R2R), Order To Cash (O2C), Procure To Pay (P2P ) and Operational Excellence (Opex).

Responsibilities

Main objective:  Prepare monthly financial statements to be reported the head office, in order to provide clear, timely and precise financial information to make decisions for medium and low complexity untis. This includes posting FI Journal entries and running all month end closing activities according with internal procedures. 
Main tasks:
- It is responsible for excuting the following processes in accordance with the procedures, internal policies and fiscal regulations; also report timely and quality financial statements to make decisions. 
-  Geographical scope consits of: Latam Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Colombia,Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador & Chile. 
Areas of responsability:
- Follow up to the GL posting of the company. 
- Analysis of assigned GL accounts
- Intercompany transactions
- Monthly reports to Head Office.  Prepare needed information to comply with the reports that must be sent to Head Office at the end            of each month.
- Fixed Assets: manage fixed assets in the system and control their depreciation, in order to make an appropriate record in the system.
- Prepare financial statements 
- Evaluate and mitigate the probability of occurrence of deficiencies in the service and take corrective actions in cases where they arise.
- Ensure the integrity and quality of information and reporting under a global Yara standard and policies
- Responsible for the compliance of the Security, Health, Environment and quality policies according to the position.
- Responsible for organization’s Ethic and Value policies.
Overtime and occasional weekend / holiday work may be necessary during peak periods or to accommodate business requirements in Latam operations.
 

Profile

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Accountant
Functional  Knowledge: Basic IFRS 
Essential: Accounting
English: Intermediate 
Software Knowledge:
Essential: MS Office Intermediate (power point and Word), Advance Excel. 
Desirable: SAP Module FI / MM; HFM
Work Experience
Desirable: 2 Years Experience in accounting positions preparing financial statements.
