Join us as a dynamic Maersk Contract Logistics Business Development Executive for Warehousing and Distribution in the CAC region (Colombia, Bogotá based), who will be responsible for driving sales and promoting technical products and solutions specifically tailored to the warehousing & distribution industries.

This role requires in-depth knowledge of these sectors, as well as strong sales and communication skills to effectively engage with potential customers, understand their unique requirements, and propose appropriate technical solutions. The MCL Business Development Executive collaborates with the sales team and works closely with customers to deliver exceptional service and achieve sales targets in the warehousing and distribution domains.

Responsibilities:
 

Product Knowledge:

Develop an extensive understanding of warehousing and distribution products and solutions, including warehouse management systems, inventory control software, and tracking technologies. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements relevant to the warehousing and distribution sectors.
 

Sales and Customer Engagement:

Identify and engage potential customers through various channels (industry events, trade shows, cold calling, referrals). Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and influencers in targeted organizations. Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase how our technical solutions address specific warehousing and distribution needs. Understand customer pain points and requirements to propose tailored solutions. Provide accurate and timely responses to inquiries, follow up on leads, and prepare comprehensive proposals.
 

Sales Strategy and Planning:

Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective strategies, goals, and forecasts for the warehousing and distribution segments. Identify target markets and potential customers. Conduct market research and analyze industry trends and competitive landscape. Provide valuable feedback to the product development team based on customer insights.
 

Technical Support and Training:

Assist customers during the sales process and after the sale. Collaborate with technical teams to address customer issues promptly. Conduct training sessions to educate customers on product features and optimal utilization.
 

Sales Performance Tracking:

Maintain accurate sales records, customer information, and activity reports in Salesforce or a designated CRM system. Monitor key performance metrics (revenue, conversion rates, customer satisfaction) for the warehousing and distribution segments. Analyze sales data and identify growth opportunities and potential strategic partnerships.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field 5 Years of experience in Contract Logistics with proven experience in technical sales within the warehousing and distribution industries, demonstrating a strong understanding of related products and solutions Excel in building and nurturing relationships with stakeholders at all levels, with a keen ability to persuade and negotiate effectively to drive business growth and secure contracts Possess fluent proficiency in both English and Spanish Innovative and persuasive with willingness to share and defend new ideas, with a thinking out of the box attitude Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills, collaboration, and a proactive attitude toward teamwork to achieve common goals Proficiently utilize data analysis tools such as PowerBI and Excel
