What you will be doing

POSITION SUMMARY (RESUMEN DE LA POSICIÓN) :

Under Colombia’s Sales Manager and Country Manager supervision, plays an important role to assure build business by identifying and selling prospects; maintaining relationships with clients. Responsible for fulfillment of Sales related activities at local level and providing, professional, and efficient service to our customers to uphold the reputation that sets us apart from our competitors.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (DEBERES Y RESPONSABILIDADES PRINCIPALES) :

Responsible for understanding all World Courier’s product & services offerings and becoming a champion for practical integration of “real world” solutions.

Implement local sales strategies together with the BD team to sell and implement customer tailored solutions in the Latin America region.

Gather information; analyzes and develops strategies under the Business Development & Sales Manager supervision and address dynamics that may affect area of responsibility using solution selling techniques.

Focuses on New Sales by researching potential customers and qualified contacts on his/her own accord.

Manages his/her prospect list/stock of potential clients and performs cold calls to generate the first contact with potential customers and contacts

Plans customer calls and creates a plan of action by following a “Roadmap to sell”

Calls potential customers and carries out sales meetings with the goal of obtaining New Sales

Creates sales presentations for potential customers

Completes follow up on potential customers on all new sales

Maintains all current market data on competition and forwards any observations to Local Management

Maintains sales-statistics and forwards these to the Local Management

Attends sales-meetings as well as training and schooling;

Represents the corporation at trade-fairs and conventions;

Constantly informs himself/herself regarding the newest developments in the market and new products or services of the own company as well as of the competition

Keep a tracking of customers generating reports and information to be shared with the respective BD and Sales teams. Help to contact and prospect customers aligned with the respective BD and Sales strategies and tactics.

Manage sales force technology requirements such as solutions and systems;

Help to develop and conduct sales strategies and implements those strategies within the field sales organization by providing training and educational tools.

Maintain reports and KPI’s applicable for the country.

Perform the Budget for the Country Sales/Billing and for the sales related expenses.

Help to organize all the events World Courier will participate in the country.

Attend national and international meetings when applicable.

Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time.

Perform related duties as assigned.

What your background should look like 

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS ( ):

Required

1 – 3 years of sales education and 1 – 3 years of sales working experience. Knowledge of the Life Science industry with its quality standards (GxP) and experience from sales within transport, supply chain and logistics is highly desired. Working knowledge of sales management, sales planning and goal setting, successful strategic and consultative selling techniques and related information. Knowledge of business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations. Fluent in Spanish and English.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS (REQUISITOS MÍNIMOS DE HÁBILIDADES, CONOCIMIENTOS Y CAPACIDADES) :

Ability to formulate, communicate, and implement short and long-term strategies

Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

Strong understanding of the pharma industry and key relationships.

Demonstrates executive presence.

Understands sales trends and operating assumptions.

Excellent negotiation & organizational skills.

Excellent integration, implementation and management skills.

Working knowledge of computers necessary to operate effectively with company systems and programs.

Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to effectively deploy resources and manage multiple projects of various diverse scopes in a cross-functional environment.

Ability to interpret industry trends and competitive information and develop strategies and tactics to respond to changes in the marketplace.

Strong leadership & presentation skills.

Interpersonal skills sufficient to develop and maintain cooperative working and business relationships with others.
