We specialize in remote staffing for the roofing industry and provide long-term, career-building roles in administration, accounting, customer service, project management, and more.

Position Summary

We are hiring a Remote Accounting Assistant to support the accounting operations of one of our clients in the U.S. roofing industry. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple financial tasks independently.

Strong English proficiency (B2 or higher) is required, as daily communication will be with English-speaking clients and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Recordkeeping

  • Assist with maintaining ledgers, journals, and financial statements
  • Update accounting databases and spreadsheets

Invoice & Payment Processing

  • Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
  • Verify and reconcile invoices and purchase orders
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve billing discrepancies

Bank Reconciliation

  • Reconcile bank statements with internal records
  • Report discrepancies to the senior accounting team

Data Entry & Documentation

  • Enter financial data into accounting systems
  • Ensure all financial documentation is filed and organized

Month-End and Year-End Closings

  • Assist with report preparation, account reconciliation, and documentation
  • Support senior accountants in closing processes

Payroll Support

  • Verify employee time data
  • Input payroll information into the system

Communication & Support

  • Respond to financial inquiries from vendors, clients, and internal teams
  • Provide administrative support to accountants and auditors as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in bookkeeping, data entry, or accounting support
  • English proficiency – B2 or higher (verbal and written)
  • Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, etc.)
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
Contract Details:

This is a remote, long-term opportunity with one of our U.S.-based clients. The position is offered under an independent contractor agreement (Contrato de Prestación de Servicios). Candidates are responsible for managing their own taxes and legal obligations in Colombia.
