We are seeking an experienced SEO Operations and Traffic Manager with at least three years of agency experience managing SEO, PPC and website workflows, coordinating execution, and enforcing operational processes for US market clients. This role requires strong SEO operational knowledge, proven traffic and delivery management experience, and the ability to build, document, and maintain SOPs and operational workflows.
This role is responsible for organizing work, assigning tasks, enforcing SOPs, and ensuring accountability in a multi-client agency environment. The work itself is executed by contractors and internal specialists; your role is to ensure it is properly scoped, tracked, documented, and delivered on time.
This is not an execution role - You will not build links, write content, run ad campaigns, or directly optimize websites. Your responsibility is to control the work, not perform it. You will intake requests, convert them into clear tasks, assign them to the appropriate resources, track progress, and ensure work is completed correctly, documented properly, and aligned with process. If you've worked hands-on in SEO before and are now more interested in operations, coordination, and systems, this role is for you.
Core Responsibilities
Own the task board and daily workflow across SEO, PPC, and web development
Intake requests and assign tasks with clear scope, deadlines, and completion criteria
Enforce SOP usage (no SOP = no work)
Track task status, blockers, and dependencies
Ensure all work is documented and stored correctly (e.g., Google Drive and project management system)
Coordinate offshore contractors and internal support roles
Identify risks early and escalate with clear recommendations
Provide concise weekly status updates to the founder
Prepare internal summaries and clarification notes for the Account Lead /or Creative Director
Maintain internal documentation of client-specific context
Requirements
3+ years of experience in digital agency operations or traffic management, working with SEO and/or PPC in US markets.
Proven experience across local, on-page, and off-page SEO workflows, with established expertise in SEO operations and quality assurance, including end-to-end oversight of backlink and citation campaigns.
Strong working knowledge of common SEO tools (e.g., Semrush, Google Search Console) for quality control, verification, and workflow oversight.
Experience supporting SEO, PPC, and WordPress workflows at an operational level.
Demonstrated ability to enforce process, standards, and deadlines.
Strong written English and clear internal communication skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and documentation-driven
Experience coordinating offshore teams and maintaining accountability for quality, timelines, and deliverables.
