The Drayage & Operations Specialist is responsible for end-to-end execution of drayage, regional FTL, and LTL moves, with a strong emphasis on port, airport, and CFS operations. This role owns day-to-day load execution, carrier coordination, and customer communication, ensuring service reliability, fast response times, and accurate payment handling.

Job Requirements:

This position is for an experienced candidate. The expected length of relevant prior experience beyond formal education is
3 to 5 years
in freight brokerage, logistics coordination, or transportation management.

·       Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)

·       Good computer skills including Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Outlook

Excellent Customer Service skills

·       Able to work effectively in a multi-tasking environment

·       Able to work constructively under stress and pressure, especially under tight time constraints

·       Well Organized

·       Professional demeanor

·       Highly developed oral and written communication skills

·       Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with carriers and customers. Communication skills, both verbal and written.

Job Responsibilities:

Drayage & Port Operations (Primary Focus):
Manage drayage moves from:

Seaports

Airports (air cargo terminals)

CFS facilities

Coordinate:

Appointments and terminal cut-offs

TWIC-required access

Chassis sourcing (carrier-provided or terminal)

Monitor and mitigate:

Demurrage

Detention

Storage risks

Ensure proper handling of:

Container numbers

Release information

Terminal requirements

Other tasks:

·       Work with outside customers or internal departments to develop a schedule for the delivery of products or resources.

·       Perform Administrative tasks

·       Providing quality customer service, answering/replying to all phone calls/ Voice mails, and emails by the end of the day

·       Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, dispatch, and finance, to coordinate and support the successful execution of client contracts and initiatives.

·       Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance overall operational performance.
