We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Odoo Technical Support & Integration Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining our Odoo environment, providing technical support to end-users, and developing robust API integrations between Odoo and various external platforms, including Shopify. This role requires a strong background in Python, Odoo development best practices, and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and code maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- User Support: Provide expert-level technical support for Odoo modules, resolving issues related to system functionality, configuration, and data integrity.
- Debugging & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve bugs and errors within the existing Odoo codebase (Python, JavaScript, XML, etc.).
- Minor Fixes & Enhancements: Implement minor code fixes, adjustments, and configuration changes to optimize system performance and address immediate business needs.
- System Monitoring: Monitor Odoo performance, conduct regular health checks, and ensure system uptime and stability.
- Integration Development: Design, develop, and maintain secure, efficient, and scalable APIs for seamless data exchange between Odoo and third-party e-commerce platforms, notably Shopify.
- Examples include synchronizing products, orders, customers, and inventory data.
- Platform Integration: Develop and maintain integrations with other external platforms
- (e.g., payment gateways, shipping carriers, market analysis tools) as required.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all developed APIs, integrations, and customization code.
- Testing: Develop and execute unit and integration tests for new features and bug fixes to ensure reliability.
Required Qualifications
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Odoo Expertise
: 2+ years of hands-on experience as an Odoo Developer or Technical Consultant (preferably Odoo version 14 or higher). - Programming Proficiency: Expert proficiency in Python and solid understanding of the Odoo framework architecture.
- API Development:
Proven experience developing and consuming RESTful and/or SOAP APIs. - Database Skills:
Strong working knowledge of PostgreSQL and the ability to write - efficient database queries.
- Web Technologies: Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and XML for front-end Odoo customizations.
- Technical Acumen: Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications
- Prior experience integrating Odoo with Shopify using their API (Admin API or Storefront API).
- Experience with other ERP systems or e-commerce platforms.
