**Job Description**:
The purpose of this job is to lead the cross-functional team to develop the local strategies of SMA in order to enable them to achieve and exceed sales objectives. This job is responsible for the overall performance of the business (P&L). In addition, this job is part of the local Leadership Team and contributes to the overall performance of the local affiliate.

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor’s degree

Masters (desirable)

Minimum 10 years experience in high cost diseases or a minimum of 2 years experience in rare diseases (desirable biotech). At least 2 years as a member of a leadership team. Experience of at least 5 years as a people manager

Abilities to prioritize and manage multiple projects, and effectively influence, collaborate, and communicate with internal and external partners

Sets up a communication strategy & messaging across defined stakeholder groups and ensures that all SMA related activities like stakeholder management, pricing, value strategy, brand planning process, pricing, reimbursement, market access, public relations and product launches are in line with the business strategy.

Leads and takes responsibility for cross‐functional meetings.

Establishes sales goals and strategies for each territory, in partnership with senior leadership

Collaborates with manager and other senior leadership to shape programs, approaches, policies and processes

Contributes expert understanding of competitive landscape to help shape future direction

SMA is our growth driver and currently responsible for 2/3 of our revenue. Team has been expanded and the Federal reimbursement is on track for 2021. A deep understanding of this process is important for the access plan to be implemented. SMA must deliver and the ambition is to go much beyond what has been planned at AOP. Also, other products are being developed in this franchise to further complement the portfolio.
