The Forensic Investigations and Intelligence team consistently provides clients with the professional investigative consulting expertise necessary to resolve conflict through fact-finding and critical analysis. We have conducted thousands of investigations worldwide and have an unmatched track record of resolving disputes and working with in-house and outside counsel to successfully conduct and conclude internal or regulatory inquiries. Our experts help organizations with their critical fact finding when they need to conduct internal investigations or to examine allegations of wrongdoing. Whether or not actual misconduct is discovered, such inquiries, and their aftermath, can pose serious risks to companies and their stakeholders, damaging their reputation, disrupting their business operations and exposing them to government scrutiny, as well as to potential criminal, civil and regulatory liability. Kroll's investigative services and expertise have helped clients successfully resolve investigations promptly and with minimal business disruption.

Kroll’s clients include many of the world’s largest and most prestigious corporations, law firms, academic institutions, non-profit organizations, sovereign governments, government agencies, and high net-worth individuals.

Overview

We currently require an intern, who will work closely with the Forensic Investigations and Intelligence team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Interns will develop their research and analytical skills, with the opportunity to carry out the following tasks:

  1. Perform detailed reviews of subjects’ digital footprints, with a focus on social media content.
  2. Conduct social media analysis within an agreed framework of reputational causes of concern.
  3. Assist in carrying out research by using databases, internet and public domain tools.
  4. Write well structured, logical, and objective reports which present the research in a client focused manner and addresses the clients’ central questions and concerns.
  5. Keep abreast of current affairs, with consideration for the social media commentary and movements that emerge in response.
  6. Document and e-mail review and analysis.
  7. Effectively feedback the findings and analysis to the Case Manager in a logical and structured manner, highlighting key issues where necessary.
  8. Maintain effective time management to meet client deadlines.
  9. Communicate with international colleagues as required.
  10. Organize case files, maintain accurate research records.
  11. Identify own learning needs and opportunities and continuously seek to improve case-work performance.
REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Currently pursuing bachelor’s degree with a focus on complex problem solving, critical thinking, or analytical research. Accounting or Finance students preferred but not required.
  2. Expected graduation date between July 2025 to December 2025.
  3. Grade Point Average of at least 7.5/10.
  4. Microsoft Office skills, with proven experience in using Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  5. Must be able to work 30 hours per week.
  6. Excellent time management and organization skills.
  7. Ability to master new tasks and quickly develop a basic understanding of industries.
  8. Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment.
  9. Demonstrated commitment to obtaining outstanding results.
  10. Strong writing and analytical skills and the ability to communicate clearly.
  11. Professional fluency required in English, Spanish desirable.

This internship has the potential to lead into a permanent Associate position when the candidate graduates.
