Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, commensurate with experience. For this role, we anticipate a salary range of approximately $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on location and qualifications.

Job DescriptionOverview

The Regional Investigations Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and transparency of our operations in Latin America. Reporting to the Regional Director, you will lead investigations into allegations of misconduct and other violations of NRC's policies and procedures, working closely with Global specialists and regional staff to ensure independence, objectivity, and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct strategic and compliant investigations, following established procedures and protocols.
  • Develop investigation plans in collaboration with HO Anti-Corruption & Investigation Specialist and Head of PSEA.
  • Lead fair and transparent internal investigations, producing comprehensive reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Support, guide, and oversee remote investigations conducted by NRC staff in Country Offices, ensuring adherence to NRC standards.
  • Travel up to 40% to conduct high-quality investigations in-country offices or other NRC locations.
  • Provide training and guidance on investigation capacities in the region and support employees as potential whistleblowers.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a senior manager/adviser in a humanitarian/recovery context.
  • Recognized qualification in investigations, HR, law, or related field, or significant training and experience in investigations.
  • Experience working in complex and volatile contexts.
  • Documented results related to responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of leadership skills/profile.
  • International experience and knowledge of the regional context are highly desirable.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with administrative investigations.
  • Management experience in the humanitarian sector.
  • Relevant international work experience, ideally in conflict or post-conflict settings.
  • Experience of a survivor-centered approach in sexual misconduct case work.
  • Clear ethical focus, high integrity, and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
What We Offer

Duty station: In one of NRC's offices in the region (Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Mexico). Must be a national or have the right to work in any of those countries.

Contract: National, 12 months, extendable.

Travel: Up to 40%.

Salary/Benefits: Grade 9 on NRC's salary scale, with accompanying terms and conditions for national contracts.
