Job Title: Lab Integration and Field Trial Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Lab Integration and Field Trial Engineer to join our team at Hitachi Vantara Corporation. As a Lab Integration and Field Trial Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting client lab integration, testing, qualifications, and field trials. Your primary goal will be to design and implement IP networking ecosystems using our platform/system to support customer use cases.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Support client lab integration, testing, qualifications, and field trials
  • Design and implement IP networking ecosystems using our platform/system to support customer use cases
  • Communicate with marketing, engineering, and sales teams about client expectations
  • Responsible for testing new software and hardware; report and track defects to engineering
  • Design, execute, and lead client field trials
  • Train clients on the operation and troubleshooting of the platform/system
  • Train field service team on the operations and troubleshooting of the platform/system and any new features that are supported
  • Assist with deployments and technical support as needed
  • Assist with supporting customers in conjunction with our 24/7 Technical Assistance Centre (TAC), as required


Requirements and Qualifications:

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or an equivalent field. Additionally, 7+ years of direct experience in networking systems hardware and software design and troubleshooting are necessary. Strong expertise in IP network switching and routing protocols, TCP/IP stack is a must. Experience in configuration and administration of Linux-based servers is also required. Problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills are essential. Knowledge of DOCSIS, CMTS configuration, and troubleshooting is a plus. Knowledge of FTTX is also a plus. Language proficiency in English at an advanced level is necessary.

Travel Requirements:

This position requires significant travel worldwide with an expected rate of up to 50% of the total work hours. The candidate needs to be ready to work in NAC time zones (PDT, MDT, EDT) as the focus is on NAC Customers/Accounts.
