About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled PeopleSoft Technical Consultant to join our team at Endava. As a key member of our application management team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Peoplesoft applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Application Development: Implement new functionalities required by the business, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Defect Resolution: Fix defects identified in the environments, performing thorough testing to ensure high-quality solutions.
  • Investigation and Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of defects and provide prompt, effective fixes.
  • Progress Updates: Provide regular updates on task progress to stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Product, QA, release management, and peer development teams to prioritize and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Deployment Support: Collaborate with DevOps and release management teams to ensure smooth deployments.
  • Secure Coding: Write secure code that meets high performance and scalability needs.
  • Programming: Develop and maintain Peoplesoft PeopleCode, SQR, and other relevant programming languages.
Requirements
  • Peoplesoft Expertise: Strong understanding of Peoplesoft architecture and components.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in Peoplesoft PeopleCode, SQR, and other relevant programming languages.
  • Database Experience: Experience in one or more relational databases: Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, Postgres, etc.
  • Application Support: Experience in troubleshooting, supporting, and/or administering applications.
  • Software Design: Good understanding of software design principles (refactoring, SOLID, design patterns).
  • System Understanding: Good understanding of web applications and back-end systems functioning from end to end.
  • Project Lifecycle: Understanding of project lifecycle and operational experience: incident management, change management, release management.
  • Analytical Skills: Well-developed analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
