- Fitch Ratings operates globally in over 30 countries, providing a platform to collaborate with diverse teams and clients worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Execute credit ratings on new mandates and oversee existing ratings, in accordance with Fitch's established criteria and procedures, serving as either a Primary or Secondary Analyst;
- Analyze critical quantitative and qualitative factors, performing detailed financial modeling;
- Engage in comprehensive onsite discussions with senior management of the institutions under review;
- Present findings to the credit rating committee and relay results to management;
- Offer substantial support to senior team members in data gathering, macro/microeconomic research, peer analysis, and other operational tasks;
- Actively contribute to rating committees, providing insights and opinions;
- Address sensitive inquiries or complaints effectively;
- Publish external research, including issuer reports, sector analyses, and presentations;
- Clearly and persuasively communicate analytical insights both verbally and in writing to various audiences;
- Monitor market developments related to rated transactions and issuers, taking necessary rating actions as needed;
- Manage financial data entry and maintain current databases/systems;
Required Qualifications:
- Strong academic and professional background in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration, with evident credit analysis skills;
- Proficient and articulate in communicating with both internal and external stakeholders, possessing strong Spanish and English writing and speaking abilities;
- Effective presentation skills;
- Well-developed interpersonal communication capabilities;
- Ability to comprehend complex concepts and apply logical reasoning to intellectual and practical challenges;
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- Fluency in both Spanish and English, both orally and in writing;
- In-depth understanding of macroeconomic factors and financial statement analysis;
- Resourceful in overcoming challenges related to data collection and analysis;
- Capable of working independently while contributing to team goals.
