The Rating Analyst position is an exciting opportunity to join our team at S&P Global, a leading provider of credit ratings and research. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing debt issuers and their ratings, providing critical insights to investors and issuers.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze a portfolio of simple and medium complex entities with support from manager and senior analyst.
- Conduct surveillance of rated debt issues and issuer's ratings; may act as a primary analyst for less complex entities.
- Demonstrate an understanding of rating principal and methodology, a working knowledge of BRC S&P ratings criteria and aids in researching criteria development needs.
- Contribute to the analysis of credit using BRC S&P rating methodology and standards, Excel, financial models, financial data, and financial statement analysis.
- Develop and maintain a centralized source of news information, including digital media, and carries out research for industry monitoring including examining corporate or municipal financial technical information.
- Support team in spreadsheet and database development, maintenance, and analytics including extracting financial and economic data from source materials and inputting into group/company applications and performing financial modeling.
- Coordinates with local team to ensure data is treated consistently across industries and ratings.
- Postgraduate studies in business related field (and possibly pursuing advanced or business degree)
- 3-4 years of work experience in financial analysis of financial institutions (brokerage, trust companies, insurance and banks)
- Advanced Microsoft office tools (mainly Advanced Excel skills)
- Advanced/bilingual English level (B2 high or C1)
