Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Business Development Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a unique customer experience through total ownership and accountability for:

Key Responsibilities

  1. Understanding global customers' profiles, needs, and expectations.
  2. Retaining existing business and pursuing global business development.
  3. Creating strategic and mutually beneficial relationships for Expeditors with customers worldwide.

Reporting Structure

The Global Business Development Manager will report to the District Customer Retention and Development Manager.

System, Tools, and Account Administration

  1. Proper customer organization structure in CRM following the company's global standards.
  2. CRM input and management ensuring data integrity at all times.
  3. Assisting in creating and maintaining customer SOPs and ensuring full ownership of tactical responsibilities by operation and customer service teams.
  4. Setting the right expectations internally and externally with customers.
  5. Leveraging and implementing Expeditors' reporting tools and value-added solutions internally and externally with selected customers.
  6. Evaluating usage and quantifying cost savings/cost avoidance.
  7. Utilizing corporate-approved templates and presentations and customizing when necessary.

Retention

  1. Establishing proper customer business mapping to ensure complete understanding of customers' global business, stakeholders, spending, strategy, goals, etc.
  2. Creating and communicating a global strategic business plan in alignment with customers' mapping and Expeditors' goals.
  3. Ensuring global visibility and collaboration across Expeditors' network (strategic updates, KPIs, service deliverables, initiatives, etc.).
  4. Penetrating customers' organizational structure at all levels, developing relationships beyond the main point of contact at all locations.
  5. Initiating value-added solutions based on Expeditors' service offerings and technology.
  6. Ensuring and driving the appropriate global alignment and engagement with customers through meetings and reviews.

Development

  1. Pursuing a larger global wallet share with all customers, while promoting up and cross-selling with all customers at all locations.
  2. Collaborating with various departments and branches through regular meetings and joint calls to promote existing and new service offerings at all locations.
  3. Ownership, accountability, and ongoing management of global pipeline and opportunities to ensure a healthy growth potential and faster business closure.

Requirements

  1. University or equivalent business qualifications.
  2. Minimum 3 years Expeditors or industry experience.
  3. Proven work experience in business development.
  4. Knowledge of Expeditors' product and services.
  5. Knowledge of required Expeditors' operating systems.
  6. Proficient in MS Office and CRM software.
  7. Strong presentation skills.
  8. Proven project management skills.
  9. Strong analytics skills.
  10. Ability to perform and meet KPI requirements.
  11. Proven problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  12. Charismatic with an ability to connect.
