As an Enterprise Systems Engineer, you will join the Corporate Applications and Intelligence team within the Visa Technology Organization. Your role will be pivotal in developing and maintaining both centralized and decentralized Business Intelligence (BI) platforms, reinforcing Visa's leadership in the market and fostering customer loyalty through valuable insights derived from data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comprehend the Payments sector and Visa's strategic vision, recognizing how your contributions will make a difference.
  • Grasp the significance of business initiatives and their role in Visa's growth.
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of Visa's BI platforms.
  • Conduct software maintenance and configurations across various applications within the BI Platform.
  • Design and create automation tools and process enhancements.
  • Collaborate closely with development and support teams to identify and resolve issues.
  • Engage in functional and technical discussions throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Provide direct support during deployments and ongoing production activities.
  • Offer on-call assistance during production challenges.
  • Work with development, network, security, and operations teams to ensure new applications meet security and high availability standards.
  • Actively contribute to defining architecture and creating solution documentation, consistently engaging in low-level design, code reviews, coding, unit testing, production deployment, and support tasks.
  • Deliver effective and high-quality solutions.
  • Manage access controls, set up and maintain the BI platform, and ensure the system's overall health and performance through usage reports.
  • Document all processes, methodologies, and instructions related to the BI Platform, ensuring that documentation is current and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for further enhancements and refinements to standards, processes, and systems.
  • Provide end-user support and training.

This position operates in a hybrid model, allowing employees to alternate between remote and office work. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office a set number of days each week, as determined by leadership, with a general expectation of being in the office at least 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate: Minimum of 6 months of work experience or a Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate: 2 or more years of work experience.
  • Results-driven with strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
  • Expertise in installing and upgrading enterprise-wide multi-node Self-Service BI Platforms such as Tableau Server or Power BI Report Server with High Availability.
  • Knowledge in setting up Tableau Online Sites and Power BI Service Workspaces.
  • Experience in implementing governance initiatives for the BI Platform with automation.
  • Familiarity with extensions in Tableau Server and Power BI REST APIs for embedding, administration, governance, and user resources.
  • Experience in creating scalable dashboards using Tableau Desktop or Power BI Desktop Software.
  • Experience in building data pipelines and ETL using Big Data Open Source Technologies.
  • Understanding of Data Warehouse concepts and RDBMS systems like DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server.
  • Awareness of Request, Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
  • End-user training and support experience.
  • Certifications in Tableau, Power BI, and OBIEE are advantageous.
  • Experience programming in one or more languages such as Python, Scala, or Java is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Generative AI is a plus.
