Key Responsibilities

  • Grasp the Payments industry landscape and Visa's strategic vision, understanding how your contributions will drive impact.
  • Comprehend business initiatives and their significance to Visa's growth trajectory.
  • Acquire a solid understanding of Visa's BI platforms.
  • Conduct software maintenance and configuration for various applications within the BI Platform.
  • Design and develop automation tools and process enhancements.
  • Collaborate closely with development and support teams to identify and resolve issues.
  • Engage in functional and technical discussions throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Provide direct support during deployments and general production operations.
  • Offer on-call support for production-related challenges.
  • Work with development, network, security, and operations teams to ensure new applications meet security and high availability standards.
  • Actively participate in defining architecture and creating solution documentation, while being hands-on with low-level design, code reviews, coding, unit testing, production deployment, and support activities.
  • Deliver efficient, high-quality solutions.
  • Manage access controls, set up and maintain the BI platform, and ensure overall system health and performance through usage reports.
  • Document all processes, methodologies, and instructions related to the BI Platform, ensuring documentation is current and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancements and refinements to standards, processes, and systems.
  • Provide end-user support and training.

This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing employees to alternate between remote and office work. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week, as determined by leadership, with a general expectation of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate: Minimum of 6 months of work experience or a Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate: 2 or more years of work experience.
  • Results-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
  • Expertise in installing and upgrading enterprise-wide multi-node Self-Service BI Platforms such as Tableau Server or Power BI Report Server with High Availability.
  • Knowledge in setting up Tableau Online Sites and Power BI Service Workspaces.
  • Experience in implementing governance initiatives for the BI Platform with automation.
  • Familiarity with extensions in Tableau Server and Power BI REST APIs for embedding, administration, governance, and user resources.
  • Experience in creating scalable dashboards using Tableau Desktop or Power BI Desktop Software.
  • Experience in building data pipelines and ETL using Big Data Open Source Technologies.
  • Knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts and RDBMS systems like DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server.
  • Awareness of Request, Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
  • End-user training and support experience.
  • Certifications in Tableau, Power BI, and OBIEE are a plus.
  • Experience programming in Python, Scala, or Java is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Generative AI is a plus.
