Key Responsibilities:

General Accountabilities:

  • Evaluate, design, and review Amadeus solutions tailored for airport environments.
  • Contribute as a vital team member in the design and development of airport systems.
  • Collaborate within a distributed development organization across various team locations, ensuring system and solution architecture aligns with business goals and enterprise architecture strategies.
  • Create detailed architecture and design documentation to support engineering and operational teams.
  • Enhance solutions, delivery processes, efficiency, and product quality.
  • Work alongside team architects to design and implement effective solutions.
  • Advance architectural maturity within the domain by introducing standard patterns, automation, and tools, while promoting learning initiatives.
  • Conduct proof of concepts, analyze, and evaluate tools and technologies to refine engineering practices.
  • Improve non-functional requirements, service level agreement compliance, and overall performance of end-to-end processes.

Specific Accountabilities:

Analysis and Design:

  • Define user requirements for the development of new or upgraded software solutions.
  • Design technical solutions and conduct feasibility assessments.
  • Propose viable technical solutions for validation by Product Management or users.
  • Develop software in accordance with Amadeus standards.
  • Model, design, and implement databases.
  • Conduct unit, package, and performance testing to ensure quality aligns with Amadeus guidelines. Participate in the product validation phase, making adjustments as necessary to finalize the product. Collaborate with Product Managers or Analysts to debug existing solutions.
  • Document your work by producing necessary software documentation for relevant departments.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

We are looking for software engineers who are passionate about advancing airport technology beyond mere coding. With a solid grasp of design principles, patterns, and non-functional requirements, you will create sophisticated software solutions that drive meaningful change. Your extensive experience with Java, JEE, the Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and microservices will be crucial in developing robust, scalable systems.

Familiarity with JEE Application servers, particularly JBoss EAP, and substantial experience with Database Management Systems, especially Oracle RDBMS, is essential. Your expertise in developing RESTful APIs and working with JSON and XML data formats, as well as messaging technologies like JMS and Kafka, will be vital. Additionally, exposure to web-based languages and tools such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or Angular will enhance your contributions.
