Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess the necessary technical and functional expertise in your field, with a solid understanding of the Amadeus business and its relevance to your area.
  • Utilize existing procedures and guidelines while providing insights to influence decisions within your area. Recommend new solutions and propose enhancements by analyzing various information sources.
  • Operate with a moderate level of guidance from management.
  • Specific Duties:
  • Evaluate requirements, build, maintain, and disseminate functional knowledge of our processes, services, and end-user product usage. Analyze business requirements submitted by Product Management and conduct size specification and validation work.
  • Conduct functional design, drafting Feasibility Studies, Solution Overview Documents, Interface Control Documents, and Product Specifications while presenting functional walk-throughs to relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee validation by contributing to the implementation of the test strategy, reviewing test plans to ensure compliance with delivered functionality and system integrity. Ensure traceability of tests with specifications and maintain production integrity by investigating, validating, and prioritizing reported incidents.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders by interfacing and communicating with Product Management, Project Management, Amadeus Customer Services, Implementation, Migration, and Development teams. Engage with customers during requirements gathering, functional specification, testing, and implementation phases.
  • Participate in team events and support team stakeholders by engaging in team ceremonies such as Agile forums, team meetings, and solution assessments.

About the Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a proficient Functional Analyst with expertise in airport software solutions. The ideal candidate should hold a university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack development, including mentoring team members. Strong solution-oriented skills for airport software are essential, along with familiarity with Jira, Scrum, and Agile methodologies. Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and analytical problem-solving skills are required. The candidate should be capable of providing technical guidance to the team. Knowledge of Jenkins, Confluence, the travel domain (particularly in airline and airport sectors), NoSQL databases (preferably Couchbase), and cloud technologies (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker) would be advantageous.
