The role of a Senior Field Service Technician involves a diverse range of responsibilities focused on the maintenance and repair of equipment in the aerospace and defense sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute various tasks including servicing, operating, maintaining, and repairing equipment as well as removing outdated systems.
- Diagnose technical issues and propose solutions to both company and client representatives.
- Evaluate product requirements based on customer specifications.
- Serve as the primary on-site liaison for the customer's organization.
- Generate and provide detailed data and service reports.
- Report directly to the Regional Manager and work under the supervision of a Local Lead Technician.
- Identify and troubleshoot hardware malfunctions.
- Respond promptly to service calls from within the customer’s organization.
- Offer assistance to end users through application training.
- Conduct hardware replacements as necessary.
- Perform tests following the implementation of solutions to ensure effectiveness.
Essential Qualifications:
- A minimum of three years of experience in corrective hardware maintenance.
- Familiarity with warranty repairs and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) logistics.
- Experience in managing assets, spare parts, and consumables.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify hardware issues.
- Proficient in application usage and capable of providing user support.
- Ability to collaborate with Level 3 support to install and test solutions.
- Knowledge of service level agreements (SLAs), severity classifications, and industry best practices.
