Job Overview
Objective:
Oversee the advancement of continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing operations, focusing on the assessment of performance across various production lines. This role involves providing technical assistance to other departments in the industrial sector, conducting research, executing tests, and facilitating innovations to meet productivity, cost, and quality targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the ongoing enhancement and evolution of manufacturing processes by managing the identification, investigation, and evaluation of machinery and equipment, while consistently proposing modifications and new applications aligned with established goals and priorities.
- Ensure the quality of projects executed by external collaborators, offering technical guidance during operations and identifying critical issues within the area.
- Promote productivity improvements by exploring alternatives to optimize processes, including the coordination of automation and/or mechanization projects, rationalization, simplification, or outsourcing strategies.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of new technologies and equipment to guarantee seamless integration without compromising operational efficiency.
- Ensure comprehensive technical and economic feasibility assessments are conducted for the introduction of new processes and technologies, considering the procurement of new equipment and overall investments.
- Plan and coordinate investigations to address deviations and operational challenges while identifying opportunities for enhancement and/or cost reduction.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Production, Process, Industrial Engineering, or related disciplines.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficient in English.
- Familiarity with Lean methodologies.
- Knowledge of quality management tools, operational systems, project control/monitoring software, process simulation software, and statistical analysis techniques.
- Black Belt certification is a plus.
