Position Overview

Objective:

The primary focus of this role is to oversee the advancement of continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing processes of the unit. This involves evaluating the performance of various production lines, offering technical assistance to other sectors within the industrial domain, and conducting research and tests to facilitate innovations aimed at achieving productivity, cost-efficiency, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the continuous enhancement and evolution of manufacturing processes by leading the identification, investigation, and assessment of machinery and equipment, while consistently proposing modifications and new applications aligned with established objectives and priorities.
  • Ensure the quality of projects executed by external collaborators by providing technical guidance during operations and identifying critical issues within the area.
  • Promote productivity improvements by exploring alternatives to optimize processes, which may include coordinating automation and/or mechanization projects, rationalization, simplification, or outsourcing strategies.
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment and technologies to guarantee seamless integration without compromising operational efficiency.
  • Conduct technical and economic feasibility assessments for the adoption of new processes and technologies, considering the procurement of new equipment and overall investments.
  • Plan and manage studies aimed at eliminating operational deviations and challenges while identifying opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Production, Process, Industrial Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in English at an advanced or fluent level.
  • Familiarity with Lean Methodology.
  • Expertise in quality tools, operational systems relevant to the field, project control and monitoring software, process simulation tools, and statistical analysis techniques.
  • Black Belt certification is preferred.
