About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Commerce Cloud Consultant to join our team at SAP. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to our customers and partners in the implementation and optimization of SAP Commerce Cloud.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide in-depth technical knowledge of SAP Commerce Cloud platform and other CX products
  • Work with partners and customers to define and assess non-functional requirements such as maintainability and optimization
  • Design the right architecture to provide the best solution to meet customer expectations
  • Support successful project implementation phase to follow best practices
  • Initiate and execute technical reviews
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Java programming
  • Deep understanding of SAP Commerce Cloud (previously Hybris) platform, including its modules, functionalities, and development environment
  • Knowledge of at least one modern JavaScript framework like Angular, React, or Vue.js
  • Ability to script in Bash, Python, Perl, or Groovy
  • Familiarity with container and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or similar platforms
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools like Jenkins, Maven, or Gradle
  • Understanding of secure coding practices, cybersecurity frameworks, and compliance requirements relevant to e-commerce
  • Solid experience with web frameworks, with a preference for Spring
  • Familiarity with SCM tools such as Git and GitHub
  • Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server, and an understanding of database design and management
  • Proven ability to integrate systems using JMS, web services, or ETL tools
  • Experience in application performance tuning and a good understanding of design patterns
  • Commitment to high-quality output in coding and testing, with experience in testing frameworks like JUnit or Spock
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in English is essential
  • Aspiration to develop skills for customer interaction and support
  • Ability to manage timelines, prioritize tasks, and lead sub-projects as necessary within a broader team structure

  • You should have a genuine enthusiasm for engaging in meaningful work and a commitment to lifelong learning
Optional but Advantageous
  • Certifications in SAP Commerce Cloud, Java, or relevant fields would be a plus
  • Experience in SAP Sales & Service Cloud, SAP Customer Data Management, SAP Emarsys, or SAP CPI
  • Knowledge or participation in Spartacus projects, or other similar tools as Contentful
  • Knowledge of cloud service providers like Azure is beneficial
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Scrum
