Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Global Communications Surveillance team. As a Senior Manager, Communications Surveillance Controls, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of Global Communications Supervision Procedures on behalf of Global Banking Markets (GBM) Internal Controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Senior Analysts in the execution of Global Communications Supervision Procedures, ensuring compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
  • Champion a customer-focused culture and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge to drive business success.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of GBM products, Communication Surveillance upstream and downstream workflows, Bank processes, policies, procedures, and applications related to Global Communications Supervision Procedures.
  • Assist management in executing high-risk regulatory and operational controls, ensuring applicable documentation is up-to-date in accordance with Global Communications Supervision Procedures.
  • Coordinate the execution of GBM Communication Supervision Procedures, supervising reviews of Flagged Alerts for potential non-compliant behaviors and lack of compliance with Bank policies.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in market abuse in capital markets.
  • Experience in managing a team and strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and negotiating skills.
  • Strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to prepare documentation and interact effectively with other Bank departments.
  • Good accountability and time-management skills, with a thorough knowledge of Bank's regulations, policies, procedures, operations, and functions.
  • Working knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of Global Banking & Markets business units and related business functions across Canadian & International Banking units.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AMV experience in managing a team.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel.
  • Solid understanding of the financial and capital markets services industry, with particular emphasis on multinational and corporate clients/operations.
  • Prior experience conducting communication surveillance would be highly desirable.
