Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Communications Surveillance Lead to join our team in Bogota, Colombia. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the execution of the Global Communications Supervision Procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Responsibilities:The Global Communications Surveillance Lead will be responsible for:
- Leading a team of Senior Analysts in the execution of the Global Communications Supervision Procedures;
- Coordinating the review, assessment, and disposition of flagged alerts in accordance with GBM Communication Supervision Procedures;
- Ensuring timely escalation and documentation of alerts to Level 2 teams when required;
- Executing reviews in accordance with relevant policies/procedures and preparing reports on review findings;
- Identifying problems (outliers) and anomalies and making informed observations;
- Coordinating the execution of data feed control and related communication surveillance controls;
- Ensuring timely review of alerts as part of remediation efforts or management of backlogs;
- Executing quality control processes for both Level 1 and Level 2 teams alerts;
- Supporting the execution of the social media control in accordance with the GBM Social Media Guidance;
- Leading the execution of all controls related to the upstream and downstream processes of Communications Surveillance;
To be successful in this role, the candidate must have:
- 3-5 years of experience in market abuse in capital markets;
- AMV experience in managing a team;
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and negotiating skills;
- Strong written and verbal skills (must be able to prepare documentation and interact effectively with other Bank departments);
- Good accountability and time-management skills;
- Thorough knowledge of Bank's regulations, policies, procedures, operations, and functions;
- Working knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of Global Banking & Markets business units and related business functions across Canadian & International Banking units;
- Strong proficiency in Excel;
- Solid understanding of the financial and capital markets services industry;
- Prior experience conducting communication surveillance would be highly desirable;
- Ability to navigate relationships in a highly matrixed organization;
Estimated salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
