Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Global Communications Surveillance team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of our Global Communications Supervision Procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the execution of Global Communications Supervision Procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the Communications Surveillance team, ensuring business strategies, plans, and initiatives are executed in compliance with governing regulations and internal policies.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders and departments within Global Banking Markets and International Banking.
  • Manage and perform ad-hoc, unique, and focused reviews as necessary, and other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Understand and apply the Bank's risk appetite and culture in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Contribute to creating an environment in which operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk, and conduct risk are effectively managed.
  • Champion a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates the team.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in market abuse in capital markets.
  • Experience in managing a team.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and negotiating skills.
  • Strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to prepare documentation and interact effectively with other Bank departments.
  • Good accountability and time-management skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Bank's regulations, policies, procedures, operations, and functions.
  • Working knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of Global Banking & Markets business units and related business functions across Canadian & International Banking units.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel.
  • Solid understanding of the financial and capital markets services industry, with particular emphasis on multinational and corporate clients/operations.
  • Prior experience conducting communication surveillance would be highly desirable.
  • Ability to navigate relationships in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in economics, business management, finance, or accounting.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English). B2-C1
  • Portuguese speaking preferred but not required.
