Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Leasing Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the efforts of a team of leasing agents, maintaining our vacancy spreadsheet, and assisting in setting asking rents for vacancies based on recent market conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the efforts of a team of 7-8 leasing agents to ensure seamless execution of leasing operations.
- Maintain our vacancy spreadsheet, which contains information regarding current and upcoming apartment vacancies, including current and desired future rents.
- Assist in setting asking rents for vacancies based on recent market conditions to maximize revenue.
- Regularly review all our ads to ensure they are posted correctly and effectively showcase our properties.
- Assist leasing agents in creating leases and obtaining signatures from prospective tenants.
- Collect and analyze data from leasing agents regarding inquiries, tours, and other key performance indicators.
- Communicate with owners regarding vacancies and asking rent setting to ensure alignment with company goals.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in residential leasing, with a proven track record of success.
- Familiarity with the basics of the American apartment rental business, including leases, deposits, rental amounts, and other key concepts.
- Excellent spoken and written English skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with leasing agents, owners, and other stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and hold leasing agents accountable for performance.
- Highly detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and precision in all aspects of leasing operations.
- Proficient in Google Workspace, including spreadsheets, word processing, and other key tools.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, including Appfolio and HelloSign/DropBox Sign.
- Stable, fast internet connection and modern computer required.
