Main Responsibilities

As a Regional Membership Manager at Soho House & Co, you will be responsible for driving membership growth and engagement across 5-6 cities in Latin America. Your primary focus will be on creating and curating membership communities, recruiting and retaining members, and overseeing the overall member experience. You will work closely with the Head of Membership to ensure membership targets are met and the member experience is consistently high-quality, friendly, and memorable.

Main Duties

  • Recruitment and Retention: Develop and execute a comprehensive recruitment strategy to drive membership growth, focusing on personal contacts in the creative industries, building and strengthening Membership Committees, and ensuring quarterly member targets are met.
  • Committees: Oversee the development, growth, and motivation of Membership Committees in your cities, ensuring they are diverse, balanced, and reflective of the cities they serve.
  • Events: Foster the creation, implementation, and hosting of regular events and experiences for members across your region, ensuring each event delivers the Soho House magic and promotes member engagement.
  • Communication: Execute a communications plan to ensure members receive relevant and regular content and communication.
  • Soho House Magic: Partner with membership leaders to prospect and recruit high-profile membership for your region.
  • Liaisons: Recruit and manage liaisons in your cities, setting objectives and managing their performance.
  • Membership Quality: Review all membership applications to ensure approved members meet the quality and caliber for membership.
  • Membership Admin and Introduction: Ensure all internal admin processes are followed correctly, and all members receive an introduction to Soho House, hosting member introductions as needed.
  • Local Outreach: Engage in extensive networking and outreach activity to establish key local individuals, connectors, opinion leaders, and inspirational creatives to build brand awareness, spread goodwill, and attract new members.
  • Managing Member Behavior: Handle member behavior issues, detailing notes of conversations and ensuring all member behavior/conduct/attire issues are documented and followed up on swiftly.
  • Local Intel: Gather intel on the creative industries in your region, population, trends, and challenges to inform your membership strategy.
  • Wider Membership Team: Participate in periodic conference calls or meetings with international membership colleagues to discuss current issues and brainstorm new ideas.
  • Brand Ambassador: Represent Soho House as a brand ambassador, embodying our core values and bringing the Soho House magic wherever you go.
  • New Openings: Support the transition from a City to a House as needed, working with the House membership team to ensure a smooth member journey.


Requirements

  • Network: A strong network of contacts in the creative industries across Latin America, particularly in Bogota, Medellin, Lima, and Panama.
  • Written and Verbal Communication Skills: Excellent written skills with experience in writing marketing emails, event copy, press releases, and emotionally intelligent verbal communication skills.
  • Personality: Charismatic, confident, and creative personality, passionate about the creative verticals of fashion, art, music, and film, and a natural networker.
  • Motivation: Self-motivated and driven to achieve results independently.
  • Organization: Highly organized with the ability to manage a complex workload and team across the region, prioritizing successfully to deliver results with attention to detail.
  • Events: Experience in programming and/or producing events is a plus.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: A well-traveled individual with an educated worldview, a learned appreciation of different cultures, politics, areas, creative groups, and social scenes, and a passion for promoting Soho House's diversity and inclusion pledge and policies.
  • Systems and Software: Daily use of the Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, and other systems.
  • Experience: The role would suit someone from a PR or marketing background with experience in building relationships, writing copy, having a large network, events, and partnerships.
  • Travel: Flexibility to travel frequently around your region, as well as working late nights and weekends as needed.
  • Eligibility to Work: Eligibility to work in Bogota or Lima, with a permanent resident in Colombia or Peru (residing in Bogota or Lima for at least 5 years).
  • Language: Fluency in Spanish and English is required.


Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects with hands.
  • Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
  • Fast-paced movements are required to move around the club.
  • Must be able to move, pull, carry, or lift at least 40 pounds.
  • Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch, and climb as required.
