Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to ensure adherence to GAAP standards and regulatory requirements, as well as the stipulations of private contributions, loans, and government contracts.
  • Maintain internal control measures for the receipt of revenue, costs, and both team and organizational budgets alongside actual expenditures.
  • Collaborate with the CFO to set financial and operational benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on a bi-weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Implement uniform accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legal standards by staying informed about existing, new, and forthcoming legislation.
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize the protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • Guide and support the accounting team with dynamic leadership that fosters an atmosphere of trust and productivity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in English.
  • Expertise in Financial Software.
  • 7-10+ years of demonstrated accounting experience.
  • Professional accounting certification, such as CMA, CGA, or CA.
  • Experience with Workday is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of finance law and regulatory standards (GAAP).
  • Strong grasp of economic and banking processes.
