About the Role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Development Representative to join our Public Sector team. As a Lead Development Representative, you will play a critical role in qualifying and generating leads, prospecting for new customers, and developing and executing sales campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Understand customer pain points, gather technical requirements, and correlate business value to customer needs.
  2. Generate interest and provide vision of the portfolio of AWS solutions to potential customers using written reports/documents and verbal presentations.
  3. Stay up-to-date with existing and developing technologies related to cloud computing and update knowledge about new services.
  4. Achieve monthly qualification goals and share them verbally and in written format.
  5. Update and maintain customer information within Salesforce.com to include detailed call notes that illustrate a firm understanding of the opportunity with clearly-defined next steps.
  6. Present a high-level, technical solution to diverse audiences, including AWS colleagues, prospects, and customers relevant to the target industry or market.
  7. Conduct research to stay informed, learn about existing markets, and grow knowledge about new ones.
