Position Overview:
Red Hat Colombia S.A.S. is seeking a dedicated Technical Support Engineer with expertise in Linux system administration. This role involves providing exceptional customer support while working with OpenShift Virtualization, Kubernetes, and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximize customer satisfaction by ensuring effective use of our products and services.
  • Respond to customer inquiries within established service-level agreements.
  • Analyze and resolve technical issues while aligning solutions with customer business needs.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, providing regular updates to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to create innovative solutions, including product enhancements.
  • Contribute to the global knowledge management system by sharing insights gained from troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a support or engineering role within an enterprise setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with customers of varying technical expertise.
  • Strong customer service orientation, with a preference for prior help desk or customer-focused experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills and a passion for problem-solving.
  • Solid understanding of Linux and UNIX systems; basic Linux administration experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with networking, security, and database management in a Linux environment is advantageous.
  • Experience with containerization technologies, particularly Kubernetes, is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Red Hat Virtualization and other virtualization technologies is a plus.
  • Understanding of storage systems and familiarity with OpenShift technologies is beneficial.
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the IT sector is required.
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification is mandatory, with the option to obtain it post-hire.
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification is a valuable asset.
