Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Treasury Specialist to join our team at adidas GBS in Bogotá. As a key member of our Finance and Accounting team, you will be responsible for supporting assigned geographies with treasury activities such as payments, payment proposal review, invoice payment release, and managing bank accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payment Processing: Perform payments (foreign vendors, taxes, local vendors) adhering to local regulations.
  • Payment Proposal Review: Prepare and review payment proposals for adidas subsidiaries.
  • Bank Statement Verification: Verify bank statements and classify outgoing payments daily.
  • Stakeholder Support: Assist requests from internal and external stakeholders (accounting, business users, vendors).
  • Transaction Research: Coordinate with other departments to obtain information about transactions and research unreconciled items.
  • Interim Account Reconciliation: Clarifying and reconcile differences on the interim accounts.
  • Reporting: Create and analyze various reports under area of responsibility including regular reporting.
  • Documentation: Maintain files DTPs and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
  • Process Improvement: Identify the improvement opportunities and support their implementation.
  • Technology Support: Assist ongoing projects for the implementation of technology solutions.

Key Relationships:

  • Banks: Establish and maintain relationships with banks to ensure smooth payment processing.
  • Internal Controls: Collaborate with internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • GBS Departments: Work closely with other GBS departments to obtain information about transactions and research unreconciled items.
  • Local Markets: Support local markets with treasury activities such as payments, payment proposal review, and invoice payment release.
  • Management: Report to STP Sr Manager and provide regular updates on treasury activities.
  • Suppliers: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth payment processing.

Requirements:

  • Education: University degree or equivalent experience, preferable in accounting or business.
  • Experience: 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in treasury and accounting.
  • Skills: Treasury and Accounting knowledge, experience with SAP is an advantage, ability to read, write and communicate in English and in a business setting, problem solving and analytical skills, self-motivated and self-directed individual.
