Job Overview

As a Senior Tester at Endava, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with project teams to uphold software quality through meticulous test planning, execution, and defect management. Your expertise will ensure that applications are functional, performant, and reliable prior to their launch. With extensive knowledge across various application types, databases, and operating systems, you will contribute to maintaining high standards of product excellence and user satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement comprehensive test automation strategies, creating robust test automation frameworks at scale, enhancing user experience for key clients, and serving as a quality assurance subject matter expert.
  • Analyze software requirements, specifications, and technical designs to fully understand the application under evaluation.
  • Develop detailed and structured test plans, test cases, and test scripts that align with project requirements and functional specifications.
  • Establish the test automation strategy and approach, including framework capabilities, tool comparisons, standard metrics, and criteria for success.
  • Lead the creation and execution of test automation frameworks and scripts.
  • Conduct both automated and manual testing activities, including functional, regression, system, and usability testing, to validate software functionality, performance, and user experience.
  • Engage in requirement and design reviews to provide early insights on potential quality risks and contribute to the software development lifecycle.
  • Deliver timely and accurate updates on testing progress, coverage, and results to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies across cross-functional teams.
  • Mentor and support the professional development of less experienced engineers both internally and on the client side.
  • As a quality assurance expert, provide education on testing best practices to the broader Delivery Unit and key clients.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Proficient in automated testing practices.
  • Experienced in Web Services/API testing (REST API).
  • Skilled in scripting and programming languages based on Object-Oriented Programming.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.
  • Solid understanding and experience in Java.
  • Good knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), WSDL, and Swagger.
  • Expertise in managing large databases such as Cassandra, Snowflake, and DB2.
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker.
  • Proficient in creating comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scripts.
  • Experience in developing test automation frameworks from the ground up and leading their execution.
  • Expert in executing both automated and manual test cases, with accurate documentation of results.
  • Familiar with bug tracking systems and adept in defect identification, reporting, and tracking.
  • Knowledge of Azure/AWS DevOps pipelines for setting up automated builds and enabling CI/CD.
  • Language agnostic and comfortable with various scripting languages and domains.
  • Desirable: ISTQB/Salesforce Certification or other relevant certifications.
  • Previous experience working with Salesforce.
