Job Overview

As a Senior Tester at Endava, you will collaborate with project teams to uphold software quality through meticulous test planning, execution, and defect management. Your expertise will ensure the functionality, performance, and reliability of applications prior to their launch. With a profound understanding of diverse applications, databases, and operating systems, you will help maintain exceptional standards of product quality and user satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement thorough test automation strategies, creating robust test automation frameworks that enhance user experience for our clients while serving as a quality assurance expert.
  • Analyze software requirements, specifications, and technical designs to gain a deep understanding of the applications being tested.
  • Design and document comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts that align with project specifications.
  • Establish the test automation strategy, including framework capabilities, tool evaluations, standard metrics, and criteria for success.
  • Lead the creation and execution of test automation frameworks and scripts.
  • Conduct both automated and manual testing activities, including functional, regression, system, and usability testing, to validate software performance and user experience.
  • Engage in requirement and design reviews to provide early insights on potential quality risks and contribute to the software development lifecycle.
  • Deliver timely and precise updates on testing progress, coverage, and results to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with teams to promote knowledge sharing and continuous enhancement of testing methodologies.
  • Mentor and support the professional growth of less experienced engineers, both internally and on the client side.
  • As a quality assurance authority, educate our Delivery Unit and key clients on testing best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Proficient in automated testing techniques.
  • Experience in Web Services/API testing (REST API).
  • Skilled in scripting and programming languages based on OOP principles.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.
  • Strong understanding of Java.
  • Knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), WSDL, and Swagger.
  • Expertise in managing large databases such as Cassandra, Snowflake, and DB2.
  • Experience with container technologies, including Docker.
  • Proven ability to create detailed test plans, cases, and scripts.
  • Experience in developing test automation frameworks from the ground up.
  • Expert in executing both automated and manual test cases with precise documentation of results.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking systems and experience in defect management.
  • Knowledge of Azure/AWS DevOps pipelines for automated builds and CI/CD.
  • Language agnostic with comfort in various scripting languages.
  • Desirable: ISTQB/Salesforce Certification or similar credentials.
  • Prior experience with Salesforce is a plus.
