Role Overview

The Global Operation Technology team is in search of a skilled developer. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Software Development, the selected candidate will be responsible for creating new applications and providing ongoing support. As a Pega technical expert, the incumbent will engage in the analysis, design, architecture, development, implementation, and maintenance of Pega-based solutions. This role encompasses all phases of the software lifecycle, from inception to support, including the decommissioning of legacy systems while adhering to the Bank's established frameworks and policies. The incumbent will collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements, establish realistic project timelines, and outline resource needs, risks, and project scope.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality outputs throughout all project phases, from requirements gathering and design to post-implementation support.
    • Assist in planning and executing unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
    • Ensure timely delivery of solutions.
    • Identify enhancements to the core product.
    • Provide technical expertise and ownership of solutions.
    • Recommend standards for systems architecture, application development, systems integration, data modeling, and testing.
  • Collaborate with product owners, technology teams, and colleagues, maintaining a focus on customer success.
  • Conduct reviews and walkthroughs of major project deliverables to ensure quality and completeness, meeting high standards for availability, integrity, and reliability.
  • Stay informed on rapidly evolving technological trends, self-educate on innovative technologies, and understand the Division's business and technology strategies.
  • Provide thought leadership across business and technical project dimensions, addressing complex business requirements.
  • Mentor and train peers on key technologies and functionalities.
  • Offer technical guidance, advice, and knowledge transfer to development staff regarding all aspects of application development for assigned technologies.
  • Support production and user acceptance testing for complex technical issues across all assigned applications, analyzing problems, implementing solutions, and developing new support procedures.
  • Contribute to the department's objectives by assisting in recruiting qualified personnel, providing timely input for performance evaluations, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of technology, industry, and business practices.

Qualifications
  • A degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related engineering discipline is preferred, along with 2 to 5 years of practical experience.
  • Experience in analysis, design, development, and deployment of medium to large-scale enterprise solutions.
  • Familiarity with Pega (CPSA), Public Cloud/AKS, AI, Java, Data Warehousing, MS/SQL, and Python is advantageous.
  • Strong experience in Object-Oriented design and coding.
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to understand the interrelations of various elements and anticipate potential issues.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and shifting priorities effectively.
  • Creative and adaptable in identifying technical solutions to business challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for delivering proposals, providing user support, and collaborating with team members and other departments.
  • Capacity to quickly develop advanced knowledge of Solution Architecture and its design and implementation features.
  • Open to learning new methodologies, tools, platforms, and systems.
  • Strong customer focus to identify underlying client needs and enhance service levels.
  • Team-oriented with a genuine interest in collaboration, mentoring peers, and engaging in constructive feedback.
