Objective
To contribute to the success of the Global Operations and Compliance Technology division by ensuring that individual goals and initiatives align with the team's strategic objectives. It is essential that all activities adhere to applicable regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the technical operations of a software team, making critical design decisions and guiding team members on technical issues.
- Act as a liaison with various technical departments to resolve application, security, and network challenges while coordinating projects.
- Engage in all phases of the project lifecycle, including Requirements, Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Implementation, and Production handover.
- Generate comprehensive documentation, including design specifications and operational guidelines.
- Complete all application-related artifacts as required.
- Facilitate design sessions and oversee code/program design and reviews.
- Manage the change management process effectively.
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of robust project management experience in relevant technologies.
- Assess new technology options and vendor solutions.
- Regularly communicate project status to team members and management.
- Assist in preparing materials for various management reviews and meetings.
- Promote best practices to enhance efficiency, foster innovation, and create value for the organization.
- Provide strong support to Project Managers in building relationships with project teams and stakeholders.
- Offer production support and escalation during business hours and after hours, ensuring rapid resolution of production issues.
- Understand the Bank's risk appetite and culture in daily activities and decision-making.
- Foster a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive workplace.

Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in application development and support.
- Ensure alignment of test cases with technical requirements and support IST and UAT testing.
- Comprehensive knowledge of QA methodologies, procedures, and standards.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, development techniques, and best practices.
- Experience in Java design and development, particularly with REST web services and JavaScript.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies regularly.
- Basic database knowledge.
- Familiarity with back-end systems such as iSeries/AS400.
- Experience with application frameworks like Apache Tomcat and WebSphere Application Server.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills from both technical and business perspectives.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and innovative approaches to technology solutions.
- Exceptional planning and analytical skills, with a focus on critical issues.
- Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Reliability, proactivity, results orientation, and attention to detail are essential.
- Ability to think creatively and outside the box.
- Proficient English communication skills are mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of common IT organizational technologies and processes.
- Ability to balance competing goals of various departments/stakeholders with a diplomatic approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of network topologies and common protocols (DNS, HTTP(S), SSH, FTP, SMTP).
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in coaching and training.
- Experience in the Banking or Financial Services sector is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
