Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement and Contracting Operations Manager to join our team at Avertra. As a key member of our Finance department, you will be responsible for the management and execution of our Procurement and Contracting lifecycle, as well as various other Finance activities.

About You

  • You have 5-7 years of experience in contracting and procurement, with a strong background in process design and implementation.
  • You possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and are able to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.
  • You are a strategic thinker with strong organizational skills, able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • You have experience working in small teams, ideally within an international and multicultural context, and are comfortable with attention to detail and effectively completing operational tasks.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement Responsibilities
  • You will own Avertra's Procure-to-Pay process, including design and documentation of all relevant policies and process flows.
  • You will ensure that all internal counterparties and stakeholders are trained and knowledgeable of all Procurement policies and procedures.
  • You will act as primary point of contact for all Purchase Requestors and Approvers to ensure that requisitions are processed according to policy.
  • You will review Purchase Orders and manage approvals of Purchase Orders.
  • You will lead all activities relating to vendor management, including Vendor Risk Management.
  • You will ensure that the Accounts Payable department is made aware of all outstanding commercial arrangements relating to Procurement.
Contracting Responsibilities
  • You will own Avertra's Contracting processes, including design and documentation of all relevant policies and process flows.
  • You will ensure that all internal counterparties and stakeholders are trained and knowledgeable of all Contracting policies and procedures.
  • You will act as primary point of contact for all internal parties involved in the contracting process to ensure that contracts are created, approved, and executed according to policy.
  • You will manage Avertra's Contract Repository, ensuring that all contracts across the enterprise are archived appropriately and referenced in the ERP tool, wherever appropriate.
  • You will create and manage standard templates for all required contract types.
  • You will create and manage Delegation of Authority matrix and identify specific roles, responsibilities, and authorities relevant to each contract type.
  • You will manage active contracts through their respective life cycles – ahead of expiration/renewal dates, alert appropriate internal parties, and lead through renewal/cancellation decisioning.
Compliance Responsibilities and Tax Administration
  • You will ensure that Avertra is aware of and compliant with tax obligations (local, state, and federal) in all jurisdictions in which it operates.
  • You will execute and manage tax filings with all necessary parties.
  • You will ensure Avertra maintains appropriate registration and certifications in all jurisdictions in which it operates, as required.
  • You will maintain resource rate card/services in ERP.
