Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our team at LG Chem America, Inc. This is a critical role that requires a strong background in accounting, finance, and administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of our financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Operations
    • Manage and oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
    • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statements.
    • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with LG Chem America, Inc. standards.
  • Accounting and Financial Analysis
    • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statements.
    • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support business decisions.
    • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve financial performance.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration
    • Manage and oversee payroll processing, including employee data entry, benefits administration, and tax compliance.
    • Ensure accurate and timely payment of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
  • Tax and Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations, including income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax.
    • Prepare and file tax returns, including income tax returns, sales tax returns, and payroll tax returns.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from an accredited university or program.
  • Experience
    • 4-6+ years of experience in general finance or accounting.
    • 3-4+ years of full cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable experience.
    • 2-4+ years of Human Resource experience in the areas of local/country employment laws, payroll, employee relations or performance management.
  • Skills
    • Excellent analytical ability to effectively analyze large amounts of financial data.
    • Attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
    • Fluent in reading, writing, speaking Spanish and English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education
    • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from an accredited university or program.
  • Experience
    • 5-7+ years of experience in general finance or accounting.
    • 4-5+ years of full cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable experience.
    • 3-5+ years of Human Resource experience in the areas of local/country employment laws, payroll, employee relations or performance management.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and presentation.
    • Proficiency in the use of PC and Microsoft Office suite (Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word etc.).
    • Experience with SAP is highly preferred.
