Job Summary
SCOPE OF POSITION
To deliver a distinctive Expeditors customer experience through complete
ownership and accountability to:
• Comprehend the global customer's profile, requirements, and expectations.
• Maintain existing business and actively pursue global business
development.
• Foster a strategic and mutually beneficial partnership for Expeditors
with the customer on a global scale.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
Reports to the District Customer Retention and Development Manager.
SYSTEMS & TOOLS & ACCOUNT ADMINISTRATION
• Ensure proper Customer Organization structure in CRM adhering to
the company's global standards.
• Manage CRM input and data integrity at all times.
• Assist in developing and maintaining Customer SOPs, ensuring full
ownership of tactical responsibilities by operations and customer
service teams.
• Set clear expectations internally and externally with customers.
• Leverage and implement Expeditors reporting tools and value-added
solutions with all selected customers.
• Assess their usage and quantify cost savings/cost avoidance.
• Utilize corporate-approved templates and presentations, customizing
when necessary.
CUSTOMER RETENTION
• Establish comprehensive customer business mapping to ensure complete
understanding of the customer's global operations, stakeholders, spending,
strategy, goals, etc.
• Develop and communicate a global strategic business plan aligned
with the customer's mapping and Expeditors objectives.
• Ensure global visibility and collaboration across the Expeditors network
(Strategic updates, KPIs, service deliverables, initiatives, etc.)
• Engage with the customer's organizational structure at all levels, building
relationships beyond the primary point of contact at all locations.
• Initiate value-added solutions based on Expeditors service offerings
and technology.
• Drive appropriate global alignment and engagement with the customer through
meetings and reviews.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
• Seek to expand global wallet share with all customers while promoting
up-selling and cross-selling opportunities at all locations.
• Collaborate with various departments and branches through regular meetings
and joint calls to promote existing and new service offerings.
• Take ownership, accountability, and ongoing management of the global
pipeline and opportunities to ensure healthy growth potential and
expedite business closure.
Qualifications
• University degree or equivalent business qualifications.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Expeditors or the industry.
• Proven track record in business development.
• Familiarity with Expeditors products and services.
• Knowledge of required Expeditors operating systems.
• Proficient in MS Office and CRM software.
• Strong presentation capabilities.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Strong analytical abilities.
• Ability to meet and exceed KPI requirements.
• Proven problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Charismatic with an ability to connect with diverse stakeholders.
