We are seeking a skilled Transmission Networking Engineer to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform upgrades on customer networks in accordance with project specifications and timelines, ensuring seamless integration and optimal network performance.
- Review and propose adjustments to Method of Procedures (MOPs) to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, aligning with customer requirements and industry best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues related to L0 and L1 technologies promptly and effectively, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of DWDM and OTN technologies to maintain and optimize network performance, staying up-to-date with industry developments and advancements.
- Preferably possess experience with Ciena optical devices for seamless integration and support, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
- Available to travel to customer locations for on-site work as required, ensuring timely resolution of issues and effective client communication.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, with a strong foundation in network infrastructure and optical technologies.
- Proven experience in performing network upgrades and troubleshooting, with a track record of successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to analyze and modify MOPs to improve operational outcomes, demonstrating a deep understanding of network operations and process optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a strong ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members, ensuring clear and concise communication of technical information.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and software, with a strong understanding of network performance metrics and analytics.
