The Vice President of Youth Development for the YMCA is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight for A+/Summer, Preschool, Teen and Young Adult programs. This position ensures that all programs are mission-driven, financially sustainable, and meet the changing needs of the community. The Vice President of Youth Development will work collaboratively with other departments to develop and implement programs that promote youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Responsible for at least one branch delivery and supervision of others.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide strategic and operational leadership for A+/Summer, Preschool, Teen and Young Adult programs, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with YMCA standards and regulations.
- Develop and implement programs that promote youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
- Develop and manage budgets for all programs, ensuring financial sustainability, and responsible stewardship of resources.
- Foster relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and donors to support program growth and sustainability.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate program staff, ensuring that they are equipped with the necessary skills and resources to provide high-quality programs.
- Provide guidance and support to program staff in the areas of program development, budgeting, marketing, and evaluation.
- Ensure that all programs are inclusive and accessible to all members of the community, regardless of their background or financial circumstances.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement cross-functional initiatives that promote the YMCA's mission and strategic goals.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of Youth Development programs and services, making adjustments as needed to improve outcomes.
- Serve as a spokesperson and advocate for our Youth Development initiatives, representing the organization in public forums and with the media.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and emerging trends related to youth development, consumer behaviors, and integrate new knowledge into the YMCA's programs and services.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Education, Youth Development, or related field required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in youth development, program management, and staff supervision.
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, and operational management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement programs that promote youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences.
- Strong budgeting and financial management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and donors.
- Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
